Innovative Teaching System in Software

Ecole 42, coming to the forefront with its innovative software-teaching model, has begun receiving applications at its Istanbul and Kocaeli campuses. Emphasizing that the new generation coding journey has begun, Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank announced that 42 Istanbul and 42 Kocaeli schools will begin pre-training with the first student group in July.

THE GOAL IS TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF SOFTWARE DEVELOPERS

Türkiye has begun implementing new policies to increase the number of software developers, in accordance with the 2023 Industry and Technology Strategy and the vision of the National Technology Movement. The Ministry of Industry and Technology has taken more recent steps in this direction.

OPEN-SOURCE PLATFORM

Türkiye Open-Source Platform was founded under the auspices of Minister Varank in collaboration with Bilişim Vadisi and TÜBİTAK TÜSSIDE in order to reach the goal of 500,000 software developers by 2023. On the platform, there are 21 founding members, 7 sponsor members, and 90 stakeholder companies, entrepreneurs, NGOs, universities, and communities.

INNOVATIVE SOFTWARE TEACHING MODEL

Bilişim Vadisi, which is the executive of the platform, and Ecole 42, which is known for its internationally innovative software education model, signed an agreement in March of last year. It was decided to establish two software schools in Kocaeli Bilişim Vadisi and Istanbul Vadistanbul under the terms of the agreement.

FREE TRAINING 24/7

These two software schools will be the first from Türkiye to join Ecole 42’s international network. Established with the support of the Istanbul Development Agency (ISTKA) and the East Marmara Development Agency (MARKA), as well as the contributions of the Evyap and Gebze Chamber of Commerce, these schools will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and provide free education.

NEW GENERATION CODING JOURNEY

In his social media post, Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank announced that applications for software schools have begun. Varank made the following statements:

The day has arrived and the applications to 42 Istanbul and 42 Kocaeli have begun.

In accordance with covid-19 standards, we are opening our software schools with 750 computer workstations. The next generation coding journey begins…

FIELDS NECESSITATING EXPERTISE

In the curriculum of 42, students are first introduced to fundamental programming concepts and the C language. The curriculum is comprehensive for beginning UNIX, graphics programming, and web programming students. In subsequent stages, students can work in fields requiring specialized knowledge, such as Object-Oriented Programming, Mobile, Functional Programming, Web Security, Reverse Engineering, Malicious Code, Core Programming, Network Programming, Artificial Intelligence, and 3D.

THE GOAL IS TO CHANGE PARADIGMS

It is hoped that these schools, which are anticipated to bring about a paradigm shift in software education, will increase the software developer potential of Türkiye along with its international competitiveness in this field. Ecole 42 schools aim to cultivate participants’ critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills through a model of education based on mutual learning. Additionally, another team oversees the curriculum and ensures that the school operates effectively.

FINAL ENROLLMENT AFTER PRELIMINARY EDUCATION

Everyone over the age of 18, who would like to be a software developer, and enhance their coding skills, can apply via www.42istanbul.com.tr and www.42kocaeli.com.tr.

Those who pass the online examination will be invited to the school’s meeting following pre-registration via websites. The final registration will be made following the completion of the 4-week pretraining beginning in July.
