GO Bilişim Vadisi Istanbul Entrepreneurship Office Opens
Türkiye’s hub for technology and innovation, Bilişim Vadisi, has launched the “GO Bilişim Vadisi Istanbul” Entrepreneurship Office, set to bring a fresh impulse to the country’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. The opening ceremony, attended by Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır, brought together leading figures from the worlds of technology and entrepreneurship, as well as investors and startups.
Bilişim Vadisi’s new Istanbul entrepreneurship office aims to support entrepreneurs on their growth journeys with its infrastructure that fosters innovation, modern office spaces, and a strong mentorship network. Spanning approximately 4,000 square meters, GO Bilişim Vadisi Istanbul has been designed as a center where the strong ventures of the future will take root. Hosting startups operating in strategic sectors such as mobility, connectivity technologies, quantum computing, artificial intelligence, energy, and gaming technologies, the center is set to advance entrepreneurial culture with its modern workspace, advanced technological infrastructure, and robust collaboration networks.
Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Mehmet Fatih Kacır emphasized Türkiye’s progress in technology production: “Nearly 1,000 people will benefit from the facilities here, and at least 100 startups will be able to operate simultaneously. We have increased the number of technoparks in Türkiye from 2 to 113 and the number of startups operating within them from 56 to 12,000. Today, Türkiye is a country beginning to reap the results of the infrastructure it has built for high-tech production. Every step we take reflects our belief in opening new paths for our entrepreneurs.”
Highlighting the rise in startup investments, Kacır added: “Before 2019, annual investments in technology startups in Türkiye averaged around 80 million dollars. Since 2020, this figure has reached an annual average of 1 billion dollars.”
Bilişim Vadisi CEO Erkam Tüzgen underlined that GO Bilişim Vadisi Istanbul represents not just a physical space but a vision shaping Türkiye’s future: “We have little time, much to do, and great responsibility. But our mission is clear: to make Türkiye the center of technology and entrepreneurship. We aim for a Türkiye that produces technology instead of consuming it, leads rather than follows, and exports rather than imports. We even envision a Türkiye that exports R&D and entrepreneurship education.”
Tüzgen stated that their goal is to strengthen Istanbul’s role within the entrepreneurship and technology ecosystem, emphasizing that with its campuses in both Kocaeli and Istanbul, Bilişim Vadisi will continue to maximize Türkiye’s technology-driven entrepreneurial potential.
