IT Architecture Specialist Occupational Standard Approved: A New Step for Türkiye’s Digital Future

As a result of the collaborative efforts between the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), and 42 Türkiye, the occupational standard for IT Architecture Specialist (Level 6) was published in the Official Gazette on April 7, 2025, and has officially come into effect. This significant development, which will help shape Türkiye’s digital transformation, aims to supply the information technology sector with qualified professionals and offer new opportunities for those seeking careers in the field.

Under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology, a comprehensive evaluation process was carried out with the contributions of relevant public institutions, academics, industry representatives, and professional organizations. Following the completion of this process, the occupational standard for IT Architecture Specialist (Level 6) entered into force on April 7, 2025.

This development opens a new door, particularly for 42 Türkiye students and others aiming for a career in the IT sector. It will facilitate professional certification in digital fields and provide individuals with a nationally recognized occupational standard. Professionals certified under this job code will have the opportunity to specialize in areas such as network information systems architecture and/or database management and architecture, directly contributing to Türkiye’s technology-driven growth goals.
