The Airtaxi World Congress Has Begun in Istanbul.

The Airtaxi World Congress brought together the aviation business in Istanbul. A. Serdar İbrahimcioğlu, General Maneger of Bilişim Vadisi said: “We will be organizing the first airtaxi show not only in Türkiye but in the world for the first time.”

The AIRTAXI World Congress brought together the world’s leading aviation companies. The congress, organized by Global Travel Investment, began with over 300 national and international aviation sector representatives in attendance. The congress was inaugurated by A. Serdar İbrahimcioğlu, General Manager of Bilişim Vadisi. The congress will last three days and will be hosted by Bilişim Vadisi, Türkiye’s technology, and innovation hub. The world’s only vertical air display will take place on the event’s last day.

THE FIRST AIRTAXI WORLD CONGRESS IN TÜRKİYE!

Pointing out that the congress is being hosted in Türkiye for the first time, A. Serdar İbrahimcioğlu, General Manager of Bilişim Vadisi stated, “We are extremely excited. Because we are not only hosting an event to explain air taxis in Türkiye, but we have also welcomed all institutions and organizations that conduct these activities on a global scale to Türkiye.”

THE WORLD’S FIRST VERTICAL AIR SHOW WILL TAKE PLACE IN BİLİŞİM VADİSİ

General Manager İbrahimcioğlu stated that the panels scheduled for the first two days of the congress will cover topics such as legal regulations, technical work, regulations, what countries can expect in the future in this regard, the reflections of this new technology on the transportation sector, trends, and the integration of air taxis with smart cities, and added: “The last day will be more spectacular since we will be in Bilişim Vadisi and will put on the first vertical air display not only in Türkiye, but also in the world.”

PROTOTYPES WILL BE DISPLAYED AT THE VERTICAL AIR SHOW

İbrahimcioğlu stated that the works and prototypes made in this field in Türkiye will be on display during the vertical air show and added, “There will be an area where we can observe demonstration flights. We will host all foreign and national guests attending the congress in that place.”

WE ARE WORKING ON THE CITIES OF THE FUTURE

Noting that they began their work by focusing on mobility, İbrahimcioğlu stated, “Flying vehicles were one of the works in this mobility field. We are also the project manager for the Pomegranate Innovation City project, which will make use of these vehicles. Therefore, we are also working on structures that will allow us to see all of the electric autonomous connected flying vehicles that will be seen in these cities.”

AIRTAXI BRINGS PRODUCERS AND INVESTORS TOGETHER

Ceren Baktimur, Event Director of the AIRTAXI World Congress, stated that the event was first held in London last year and added, “This year, we brought a more stunning international congress that shapes the aviation business to Türkiye. Within the context of the congress, the industry gets together to form new alliances through B2B meetings. These meetings, in particular, act as a bridge between investors and manufacturers.”

WE HOPE TO FLY ACROSS THE BOSPHORUS IN 2023,

Eray Altunbozar, the founder of Aircar, an air taxi startup located in Bilişim Vadisi, announced that staffed tests will begin soon, and added, “So far, we have completed 65 flights. We will certify Aircar and begin operation after the staffed test phase. In this sense, we intend to fly across the Bosphorus in 2023. We undoubtedly want this flight to be both staffed and autonomous. Following that, we want to finish the necessary tests and bring it into service.”

WE INTEND TO COMMISSION AIR TAXIS IN 2026

Oğuzhan Demiral, Project Leader of Gözen Holding, who announced plans to operate air taxis above Istanbul in 2026, stated: “Air taxis will be able to travel from airport to airport and maybe to other projected locations. With little modifications, the heliports currently used by helicopters can be converted into vertiports for these air vehicles.”

ISTANBUL WILL BE AN AIR VEHICLE TRADEMARK

Highlighting that, manufacturers, operators, and authorities are collaborating to see air taxis in the sky by 2025, Avalon-e creator Marc Tembleque Vilalta stated, “The fact that this conference is being held in Istanbul provides an excellent chance for future collaborations. Istanbul, I believe, will be a fantastic platform, a brand for air vehicles. There is numerous export potential here.”

THE JOURNEY OF PASSENGER DRONES

The congress, which will include autonomous and electric air vehicles, will cover all elements of sustainable urban air mobility. The first day of the congress featured presentations on “Connectivity and Space: Satellite, Radio, and 5G,” “Precise Location Data, Telemetry, Communication, and 5G Connectivity,” “Consumer Confidence in the Technology and Certification Process,” and “Opportunities for Commercial Aviation.”

KEY VERTIPORT DETAILS WERE DISCUSSED

The inquiries about vertiports, which are runways where air taxis take off and land, “How will air traffic control work?”, “What are the charging standards for eVTOLs?”, “What is the air traffic control hardware component, antenna system, or base stations?”, and “What insurance is required to operate the vertiport?” were discussed.

POTENTIAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES WERE DISCUSSED IN B2B MEETINGS

Several subjects, including food, freight, logistics delivery, security measures, and public image, were covered in the panel held under the theme “Delivery UAVs Paving the Way for Passenger Air Taxis.” At 60 separate tables during the congress’ afternoon sessions, business-to-business (B2B) meetings were held, and potential commercial prospects were discussed.

THE ONLY VERTICAL AIR SHOW IN THE WORLD

On September 15, the final day of the congress, Bilişim Vadisi will host the international vertical air show. The AIRTAXI World Congress, the only vertical air display in the world, will feature demonstration flights by electric and autonomous air taxis from international enterprises.

ON STAGE: AIRCAR AND CEZERI

AirCar, one of the companies in Bilişim Vadisi, Zyrone, Dasal, Autogyro vehicles as well as the Cezeri created by BAYKAR Technology will be displayed as part of the vertical air show. A total of about 200 domestic and foreign airline companies will be present at Bilişim Vadisi to view the air display. The world’s only vertical air show, which will take place on Bilişim Vadisi helipad, will take your breath away.
