Türkiye-Greece Hackathon Kicks Off

The online phase of the Türkiye-Greece Hackathon, aimed at strengthening collaboration between Türkiye and Greece and promoting innovative projects, has officially begun. This year, for the first time, 20 teams from each country, totaling 40 teams, have been selected to participate. These teams will be merged to form 20 joint teams that will develop collaborative projects. The teams will shape their projects through various workshops and mentorship support, generating creative ideas along the way.

20 Teams to Meet Online

A total of 20 teams, consisting of four people from each country, will come together in the online phase of the hackathon to develop their projects. During this phase, participants will receive training through expert-led workshops on topics such as Idea Generation, Business Model Canvas, and Elevator Pitch Techniques. Additionally, 20 mentors from both countries will guide the teams through the process.

Teams That Succeed in the Online Phase Will Advance to the Semi-Final

Teams that succeed in the online phase will earn the chance to participate in the semi-final, which will be held on February 20-21, 2025, at the Bilişim Vadisi campus in Kocaeli. The six most successful teams will then present their projects at the final, to be held in Athens on February 26-27, 2025, competing for the grand prize. The hackathon will not only reward the participants with prizes but also offer significant opportunities for international collaboration.

Erkam Tüzgen, General Manager of Bilişim Vadisi, stated: “With this hackathon, we aim to develop new technologies, smarten cities, enhance comfort and welfare in cities, and advance sustainable green technologies for cities.
